Saga Professional Pastel Builder Gel is a high-performance, rigid modeling gel that effortlessly combines structural durability with the soft aesthetic of contemporary pastel shades. Engineered for multi-functional salon use, this builder gel is perfect for creating salon extensions, sculpting complex nail architectures, or providing a solid, chip-resistant reinforcement layer over weak natural nails. It features a perfectly balanced medium-thick consistency that exhibits excellent thixotropic properties—it stays exactly where placed during modeling but self-levels beautifully under gentle brush movements. Its pigmentation provides a soft, milky-pastel camouflage effect that smoothly masks any imperfections on the natural nail plate, allowing nail technicians to skip the color coat step for a fast, elegant, minimalist look.
- Preparation: Complete a standard hygienic manicure, shape the free edge, gently matte the nail surface with a buffer, and thoroughly clean away all dust.
- Prep & Prime: Wipe the nail plate with a professional dehydrator and apply a thin layer of acid-free primer (Ultrabond). Let it air dry for 30–60 seconds.
- Base Coat (Mandatory): Apply a thin, rubbing layer of a transparent professional rubber base coat acting as a substrate layer to ensure maximum adhesion. Cure for 60 seconds in an LED lamp.
- Modeling: Set up your extension forms if extending. Apply a thin slip layer of the Pastel Builder Gel, then take a larger bead of the gel and distribute it smoothly across the nail to shape the apex and architecture. Let it self-level for a few seconds.
- Curing: Polymerize in a 48W UV/LED lamp for 60–90 seconds. Note: To control the exothermic reaction (heat spike) on sensitive nails, use the low heat mode if available.
- Finishing: Wipe away the sticky inhibition layer with a gel cleanser, file the edges to perfect the shape if needed, clean the dust, and seal directly with a professional top coat.
